Due to popular demand, the R Whetstone models will be running on a section of track on display in the Great Exhibition Hall and will show a range of tramcars not represented in the full scale tramcar collection on the following dates: Saturday 1st September 2018 (Simply Trams Day) Sunday 14th October 2018.

Simply Trams

Trams in a row

A must for all transport enthusiasts our 'Simply Trams' event will see an intensive tram service, with departures every 6 minutes and as many as 18 trams available. There will also be plenty of in and out-of-service photo opportunities with a selection of both operational and non-operational trams. Its not all about the big trams, but small ones as well, with the stunning Robert Whetstone models on display and running in the Exhibition Hall.

Horse Tram Day

Horse Tram

Come along and see Joseph the Shire horse pull our 1874 Sheffield 15 horse tram running between 11 am - 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm. Modest additional charge to ride on this tram of £1.00 per person (adults and children). Other vintage electric trams will also be in operation at no additional charge.

Steampunk Day

Come along and enjoy this fun day. Steampunk can best be described as a sub-genre of science fiction or science fantasy which incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. Steampunks take some of the best parts of the past and make them part of a bright future.  They value and encourage creativity and have been asked to collaborate in educational and arts projects across the country.
