Discovery Week

Come along and learn while having fun! There will be science boffins, costume interpretation and 'Behind the Scenes at the Museum'. Albert Vick our 'Edwardian Horse Tram Driver' will talk about his role on 22nd, 24th and 27th August. More activities to be confirmed.

Horse Tram Day

Come along and see Joseph the Shire horse pull our 1874 Sheffield 15 horse tram running between 11 am - 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm. Modest additional charge to ride on this tram. Other vintage electric trams will also be in operation at no additional charge.

Morris Million Register Visit

If you are a classic car fan you may want to come and see the wonderful Morris Minors. The Club leader has told us they expect to arrive about 2.00 pm and to depart around  5.00 pm, but timings are dependent on traffic and weather conditions. The owners will be pleased to chat to you about their vehicles, or you can view them whilst taking a vintage tram ride up the track. Morris Minors

Steampunk Day

Come along and enjoy this fun day. Steampunk can best be described as a sub-genre of science fiction or science fantasy which incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. Steampunks take some of the best parts of the past and make them part of a bright future.  They value and encourage creativity and have been asked to collaborate in educational and arts projects across the country.
