Do I need to pre-book?
No, you can pay on arrival at the National Tramway Museum. However, booking online at least 24 hours in advance offers a slightly lower price.
Please note that some tickets — including Disabled Concession and certain discounted rates such as Blue Light cards — are not available for advance online booking and must be purchased on the day.

Dogs can go everywhere elsewhere including the ground floor of the ‘Red Lion’ pub, and all indoor exhibition areas. Dogs can even travel on the trams! (usually on the lower deck only).

There is an enquiry form on the group bookings page or you could email us at enquiry@tramway.co.uk.
Is your site wheelchair accessible?
How do I book the Access Tram (for wheelchair users)?
Unfortunately, our Access Tram developed serious faults in 2024 and we are currently unable to run it. We are currently fundraising to convert another vehicle into a new access tram.
You can find our more on our Accessibility Page.
I purchased an annual ticket but have lost it. Can it be replaced?
We do not accept responsibility for the loss of 12 month tickets. We require proof of purchase in the form of a bank statement to re-issue your ticket. We accept a photo of the purchased ticket as a digital copy.
I have a corporate ticket. Do I need to pre-book my visit?
Do you offer Blue Light / NHS discounts?
Yes we do. This is roughly a 10% discount. You cannot pre-book tickets with a Blue Light card, so please purchase on arrival. If you require actual prices in advance, please email enquiry@tramway.co.uk during weekdays.
Do you offer discounts to National Trust members?
Is Crich open for some areas during the winter?
No. It is potentially dangerous onsite during the winter as we engage in winter maintenance and undertake larger infrastructure projects and the like on the track, overhead and elsewhere, including the woodland area. It would not be safe to open it during winter. In addition, this year we are working on our cafe structures and parts of that will be closed off as a construction site.
Where can we get food and drink during our visit?
Do you charge for parking?
No, car parking is included in your ticket.
How many tram rides can we take?
Once you’re on site, you can have as many tram rides as you wish. Our operational trams run approximately every 15 minutes during the day. These are all included in your admission ticket.
