Admission Prices 2024

Full priced tickets offer 12 months free return as many times as you wish (subject to our opening dates and excluding return to 1940s & Shine a Light events). Please see the prices below. These may be purchased on arrival (no need to pre-book) or online if you prefer to pre-book (scroll to bottom of this page). Please see our opening dates and times below.

Disabled visitor tickets cannot be purchased online, only on arrival.  They are valid for the free return within 12 months subject to when we are open and excluding 1940s events and Shine a Light events. One carer per disabled person admitted free of charge. Under 4 year olds and dogs on a lead are admitted free of charge.  

If you lose your ticket and have Gift Aided, we can trace your details and re-issue your ticket for a £1.00 administration charge. Otherwise, we require proof of purchase to re-issue your ticket for a £1.00 administration charge.

We offer gift vouchers in place of tickets. If you wish to order one, please email: enquiry@tramway.co.uk with a contact telephone number, and we will contact you and take details over the telephone and post you the voucher(s).

PLEASE NOTE The last date for Christmas vouchers was 19th December 2023.  We are unable to issue any gift vouchers until January 2024 now.

If you already have free return tickets, corporate tickets, gift vouchers or vouchers offering discounts (e.g. English Heritage membership, Caravan Club or a promotional offer) these can only be processed on arrival and cannot be pre-purchased.

Dogs on a lead are accepted, provided that owners control them and clean up after them. They are not permitted in the cafe or the indoor children’s play area, but can go everywhere else, including on the floor of the lower decks of trams. They are permitted in the Red Lion pub, where you can purchase snacks. Please be aware that some visitors may by afraid of or allergic to dogs, so they should be kept close to the owner at all times.

We provide a shelter at Town End for buggies and pushchairs to be left, while you ride the trams. (Please do not leave valuables).

Saturday 16th March – Thursday 25th July (closed Fridays except BH’s/School holidays).

Opening times:

Weekends/Bank Holidays: 10am – 5.30pm – last admissions 4pm.

Weekdays: 10am – 4.30pm – last admissions 3pm.

Closed Fridays, EXCEPT Good Friday 29th March (B/H) and School Holidays Friday 5th April, Friday 12th April, Friday 31st May.

Summer Season

Friday 26th July – Sunday 1st September – OPEN DAILY at the following times:

Weekends/Bank Holidays: 10am – 5.30pm – last admissions 4pm.

Weekdays: 10am – 4.30pm – last admissions 3pm.

(Summer Bank Holiday is Monday the 26th August).

Autumn Season

Monday 2nd September – Sunday 3rd November (closed Fridays EXCEPT Friday 1st November for school holidays).

Opening times:

Weekends/Bank holidays: 10am – 5.30pm – last admissions 4pm.

Weekdays: 10am – 4.30pm – last admissions 3pm.

If you already have a ‘free return’ ticket and it is still valid, you may use this as normal and DO NOT NEED to pre-book. Please note that our security measures include the fact that we may randomly request to search your bags on arrival.

We have joined forces with other local attractions to give you a great Derbyshire Day Out with discounts!

Present your 2024 Crich Tramway Village ticket at the following attractions to obtain the prices or offers described below: 

Bakewell Old House Museum: £1.00 off adult tickets.
Birdswood Canal Boat Trips: Free hot drink during boat trip.
Buxton Crescent Experience: 10% off tours plus Buxton Winter Warmer – 15% off tours & free hot drink (valid 04/11/24 – 16/02/25 – excluding special events).
Creswell Crags: 10% off cave tours.

Peak Rail: Our offer valid from 9th March 2024: 10% off Standard Adult or Senior Tickets (This offer is only valid on Standard Steam/Diesel Operating Days and not valid on Special Events or Experiences).
Poole’s Cavern: 10% discount on walk up tickets during non peak times (so excluding Easter, and Summer half terms, summer holidays, 24th July to 3rd September and Autumn half terms).
Wirksworth Heritage Centre: £1.00 off all adult tickets.

Visitors with any of the above attraction entrance tickets purchased in 2024 receive the following admission prices at Crich Tramway Village (One discount per transaction may be used against reciprocal tickets. Offers cannot be combined).

These discounted tickets do not offer 12 months free return and must be purchased on arrival.

Purchasing online does not offer an advantage to purchasing on arrival. All tickets need to be processed at Admissions, and during busy times, this may take longer than usual. We accept most credit and debit cards EXCEPT AMEX. Discounts (including disabled person’s tickets) can ONLY be processed on arrival and cannot be booked in advance.

Free admission for drivers of pre-1980 vehicles if parked in the Museum street for a minimum of 3 hours (Please note for themed events, your vehicle must match the theme and booking is necessary to confirm availability. Passengers are required to pay for full priced tickets).
