Whetstone Mode

Due to popular demand, the R Whetstone models will be running on a section of track on display in the Great Exhibition Hall and will show a range of tramcars not represented in the full scale tramcar collection on the following dates: Sunday 15th April 2018 Sunday 20th May 2018 Sunday 17th June 2018 (Father's Day) Sunday 8th July 2018 Saturday 18th - Sunday 19th August 2018 (Models Week-end) Saturday 1st September 2018 (Simply Trams Day) Sunday 14th October 2018.

Conversations and Memories – a celebratory week-end

Visualisation of WW1 memorial scultures Musson&Retallick

Following the installation of a series of First World War commemorative sculptures along our Woodland Walk (the above photograph is an early visualisation only), there will be art activities and demonstrations for adults and children. A separate evening event will also feature a production of 'Tickets Please' by D. H. Lawrence. (Details to be confirmed).

Beside the Seaside

Oporto and 166 at Seaside Event

Our popular Seaside at Crich event returns with nine days of fun for the family. The Village will be transformed into a family-themed seaside resort with a 'beach area' complete with deck chairs plus buckets and spades for children to build their own sandcastles. A Fun Fair will be with us all week to give visitors the chance to ride on the steam gallopers, and big wheel. (Fairground rides at additional costs). Be amused by Prof. Jon's "Flea" Circus, laugh…

Horse Tram Day

Come along and see Joseph the Shire horse pull our 1874 Sheffield 15 horse tram running between 11 am - 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm. Modest additional charge to ride on this tram of £1.00 per person (adults and children). Other vintage electric trams will also be in operation at no additional charge.
