Make-do-and-Mend

As well as rides on our vintage trams, visits to the exhibitions and a walk along the Woodland Walk and Sculpture Trail you can take part in Make-do-and-Mend activities in the Learning Centre from 12pm - 3.30pm. World War II Home Front

Take a trip back to the early 1940's Britain on the Home Front, with re-enactors, live music and vehicles from pre-1946 mingling with vintage trams and taking you back to the World War II era. Open from 10am until 5.30pm each day. Large Scale Model Tram Operating

The large scale Robert Whetstone model trams will be operating in the Exhibition Hall on the following dates in 2020: Sunday 19th April: 1/16 scale layout. There is also the opportunity for visiting model trams to operate on this vintage layout on this date. VE Day Beer and Bands

If you love the combination of a beer festival and music, you'll love our Beer and Bands event and this year, we celebrate VE Day on Friday 8th May with 1940s music. Saturday and Sunday the music will include a range of brass bands, folk, pop and jazz. On Sunday you can have a go at Maypole dancing with 'Maypole Movers' between 12pm and 4pm. Horse Tram Day

Wed 13th May @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

In addition to our vintage electric trams, our Sheffield 15 Horse Tram will be in operation between 11am and 4pm (with a break for the horse's lunch 1pm-2pm). This horse tram was built in 1874 and is one of the oldest exhibits at Crich Tramway Village. If you wish to ride on the horse tram, there is a small cost of £1.00 per person payable at the tram stop.

Enjoy these wonderful vehicles as you take our vintage tram rides, or stroll along the period street. The Red Lion pub serves snacks and hot drinks as well as cold drinks and alcohol. Seaside Event

Beside the Seaside Nine days of traditional British Seaside fun for all the family. Let the children loose in the mini beach. Enjoy traditional games such as bingo, and be entertained with Punch and Judy and the flea circus. Vintage tram rides into the countryside. Funfair rides (at additional cost). If you have a free return ticket, you can use this as many times as you wish for this event!
