Classic Motorcycle Day

Model Trams Operating

If you love model trams the David Gould layout will be operating in the Great Exhibition Hall and will show a range of tramcars not represented in the full scale tramcar collection on the following dates: Sunday 14th July Sunday 13th October On 13th October the Museum will allow visiting model trams to operate on the layout (track gauge 2⅝ inches) but please note this is not a test track for uncompleted models, but a visual performance for visitors. St. Helens Classic Car Association Visit

Horse Tram Day

In addition to our electric trams running, our Sheffield 15 horse tram, built in 1874, will be operating between 11am and 1pm and from 2pm to 4pm. An additional charge of £1.00 per passenger (adults and children) is payable to ride on the horse tram, which runs from Stephenson Place to just before the Bowes-Lyon Bridge and back. Want to know how to keep the kids entertained during the holidays? Bring the family and take part in make-do-and-mend craft activities from Monday 5th - Friday 9th August from 12:00pm to 3:30pm Monday to Wednesday (making sock puppets) and 10.30am - 12.15pm then 1.pm - 3.15pm Thursday and Friday with sewing activities.
