Craft Activities

12 days of fun and fascinating school holiday activities for families.

Discover science and history fun facts, meet characters from the past and have a go at crafts.

On the 6th, 7th and 8th August you can hear all about GEORGE STEPHENSON AND THE FIRST PUBLIC RAILWAY.

Meet ‘George’ and listen to his talks at 11.15am – 11.45am and 2.00pm – 2.30pm

After the talks, the Learning Centre will be open for drop in show and tell.

Have a go at constructing a short length of replica Stockton and Darlington track, a problem solving conundrum about railway construction and another about the best transport method.

See the cut out about 3ft by 3ft of the original Locomotion and the jigsaw pieces of the present museum piece, which fits over the top. George will be answering questions and chatting to visitors.
