Austin Counties Car Club Visit

Sun 18th June 2023 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Austin Counties Car Club

The Austin Counties Car Club will be visiting with some of their classic vehicles today.

The Austin Counties Car Club is a friendly group of like-minded fans of Austin cars manufactured from the late 1930’s to the mid 1950’s. It was originally founded in 1975 to cater for owners of the post war Austin A40 Devon, Dorset and Somerset models, hence the ‘county’ name. The club expanded its remit, a year or so later, to include the bigger A70 Hampshire and Hereford cars together with the A90 Atlantic and all the other Austin post 1939 models, such as the 8, 10, 12 and 16. All Austin light commercial vehicles, some of them car derived, are also catered for up until the end of production in the mid 1950’s.

Our annual Rally is held in a different part of the country each year. In addition to this we have local pub meets and other events during the year. Further details are available on the club website: www.austincounties.org.uk

Enjoy browsing the display of classic vehicles, riding vintage trams, exploring the fascinating exhibitions, marvel at the restoration work from the Workshop Viewing Gallery and take a stroll along the Woodland Walk. A great day out for all the family.
