Continuing the #LoveYourRailway #Sustainability theme, a major element of our mission for sustainability is ensuring that our historic tramcars are looked after for the future. Back in 2017-18 we completed a major project to refurbish several of the depots where trams are stored.

Depot roofs - old vs new

The project improved the environmental conditions for our historic fleet through installing new insulated roof panels and cladding, improving the lighting and creating partition walls to act as fire breaks.
