It is with great sadness that we can confirm that one of our colleagues suffered a suspected heart attack whilst at work at Crich Tramway Village, yesterday the 20th of May 2015.

He had just finished working on the overhead lines on routine maintenance. As a result we were forced to close yesterday following the incident.

First aiders and emergency services attended, but unfortunately were unable to save the gentleman, and he died at the scene.

We are very grateful to the emergency services including fire, ambulance and police and the Air Ambulance for their speedy and professional service.

We ask that you respect the privacy of his family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.

Crich Tramway Village is open as usual today from 10.00am and 5.30pm (last admissions at 4.00pm).
