Stunt Double

For your enjoyment, there will be live music from Stunt Double 12.00pm – 2.00pm and from Phoenix Brass Band 1.00pm – 3.00pm.

‘Stunt Double’ were formed in 2014 by Chris Firminger & Jon Alex. They perform songs from 50s/60s, to present day.
(Eagles / Beatles / Neil Diamond / Elvis/Johnny Cash / Kinks / Searchers/ George Ezra / Elton John.

It is rare for them to perform together these days as Jon Alex is very busy on the clubs and pubs scene, and with his ‘Elton John’ tribute act.
Chris is also very busy, either on his own, or with Dave Berry and the Cruisers, Roy Orbison Experience, Firecracker (from Chesterfield /Sheffield), Rogue (from Chesterfield). Plus, various studio / recording sessions,(including the top ten hit ‘Walk like a Panther’ by Tony Christie / The All Seeing Eye). They both perform all over the country from Penzance to Edinburgh!

The Phoenix Concert Band was founded in July 2001 by Geraint Jones, its first Music Director. It was formed to provide adult wind, brass and percussion players the opportunity to perform together as a community wind band. They have a membership of about 30 players from a range of ages and professions and from the counties of Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire borders.

Their aim is to combine the honing of musical skills with a friendly, enjoyable rehearsal atmosphere. They play regular concerts in Hasland. The band has also performed in many other locations such as Bakewell, Chatsworth and various locations in Germany. In addition, they perform fundraising concerts for various charities including the Chesterfield Mayor’s Appeal.
