Just after mid-day today Oporto Coal Car 65 departed Crich on route to Beamish, ‘The Living Museum of the North’. Since arriving in the UK, in 2005, Oporto 65 has lived off-site but finally, last week, graced the track at Crich Tramway Village in time to star in our ‘Tram Day’ event on Saturday. During the event ownership of 65 was officially transferred to the Beamish museum and it should be in their possession by this evening.

Crich Tramway Village is a brand name for the National Tramway Museum (Accredited with Arts Council England), solely owned and operated by The Tramway Museum Society, incorporated in England with liability by guarantee (no. 744229). Registered charity number 313615. Our ICO number is Z6700136.
