World War II Resource Boxes
We now have seven themed resource boxes relating to WWII covering the following areas:
Box 1 - Gas Mask
Box 2 - Food Rationing
Box 3 - ARP Warden
Box 4 - Auxiliary Fire Service
Box 5 - Evacuation
Box 6 - Toys
Box 7 - Anderson Shelter
Each box includes who, what, why, when, where worksheets, themed activities, real and replica artefacts - click here for teacher's guidance notes and full contents. The boxes are suitable for up to 30 children to use.
Using the boxes.
There are three options for using our World War Two Resource Boxes:
Education Session:
Simply book our World War Two session an ‘Evacuees Experience.’ The session includes a half hour slot where your group can use the boxes under the guidance of one of our members of staff. Please book before your visit to avoid dissapointment.
During your visit:
The set of seven boxes are available for hire during your visit at an hourly rate of £15, this includes usage of the classroom. Please book before your visit to avoid dissapointment.
Outreach:
A member of staff can come out to your school to facilitate a session with the boxes. We charge £60 per hours session plus 40p per mile.
