Return Free of Charge!

Crich Tramway Village is giving visitors the opportunity to truly immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere of the popular tourist attraction - all year long with just one admission fee!

The Village officially launched its Gift Aid scheme which will allow visitors to pay for entry the first time they visit this year but then return free of charge as many times as they like over the next 12 months.*

Because Crich Tramway Village is a charity, it qualifies for Gift Aid which is a scheme where it can claim back the tax on donations and gifts that are made to it. Under the scheme, admission fees from UK taxpayers can be treated as 'gifts' which are worth an additional 28p in the pound to Crich. To be eligible to do Gift Aid, all we ask is that you are a UK tax payer and pay enough income tax in one year, to cover the tax on the admission ticket.

Commenting on the launch of Crich Tramway Village Gift Aid, Marketing Manager, Cara Marchant said: "The Government wants to help us develop and grow, and this is an excellent scheme which will enable us to do so - everyone wins! One of the most frequently heard comments from visitors is that they didn't have enough time to fully explore the Village and its many features. Now they can return to complete their exploration - and at no extra cost!"

Visitors wanting to take part in the Gift Aid scheme will just be asked for their contact details when they enter. Crich Tramway Village will keep this information strictly confidential.

(*) Free entry excludes the following 5 Premier Event days in 2009 - Monday 12th April, August 1940s Weekend and Transport Extravaganza.
