Young visitors at Crich Tramway Village over half term are promised a great time during their trip where they’ll get the chance to take part in a variety of fun craft workshops including mask and badge making and the opportunity to borrow one of the brilliant backpacks to make their visit a real adventure!

Helen Parr, Education Officer at the Village said “The craft workshops are great fun for all ages or if you prefer to explore Crich Tramway Village instead, then hiring one of our exciting backpacks will be just the ticket for the more adventurous. You will find rubbing materials, bug eye goggles and binoculars to make exploring much more fun.”

There is no need to book for the Half Term Fun workshops just drop in any weekday afternoon 1pm until 3pm, from the 1st to the 4th of June (excludes Bank Holiday Monday). The workshops are suitable for all ages and are included in the normal entrance fee. Backpacks are available to hire from reception, all that we ask for is a refundable deposit of £5.

Other attractions at the village include the ‘Discovery Depot’ – a huge indoor play area with ball pits, ‘snakes’ to weaves though and soft shapes for the toddlers to enjoy safe play. While the more adventurous take to the Outdoor adventure playground with its Burma Bridge, tram tracks and swinging steps, a log walk, tyre traverser and a ladder walk.
