Group Visits
We understand how much work a group organiser or tour operator has to put in to make the day a success. So, we have put together some top tips and things you will need to know when planning a group visit with us...
- Crich Tramway Village is located in the heart of Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Trams operate along the 1 mile track through the re-created village and out into spectacular views of the countryside.
- We offer a special discount for groups of 10 or more people. Advanced bookings are appreciated when possible.
- We welcome groups or all sizes and abilities. There is ample free coach parking by the admissions building or for visitors with walking difficulties, coaches can drop off in the centre of the village.
- The Museum is accessible for all with ramps and lifts to all buildings, smooth routes and dropped curbs for wheelchair users. There is also a specially modified access tram to carry wheel chairs**. Carers are admitted to the Museum free of charge.
- There is much to see and do at Crich such as unlimited tram rides all day, Woodland Walk, Rita's Tearoom, The Red Lion Pub*, Barnett's Old Fashioned Sweetshop, Gift Shop, Fredrick's Ice Cream Parlour*, Great Exhibition Hall, Depots, Workshops and a brand new Exhibition for 2011!
- We recommend 3-4 hours for your visit
- For a unique group experience, Crich Tramway Village has a full events calendar which includes a 1940s/1950s and Edwardian Weekends.
- Specialist guided tours can be provided when booked in advance. The tours are free of charge and last approximately 30 minutes. Bespoke catering arrangements can also be made in advance. Rita's Tearoom serves hot meals from 12pm until 2.30pm and doesnt need to be booked.
- The roads around Crich are passable by coach, however if you are bringing a larger coach or double-decker, please contact us before your visit for a recommended route. (we have added a map with bridge heights on the approach to Crich) view map
- If you would like to investigate further complementary tickets for a FAM trip can be issued on request. Please contact the Museum.
