Permanent Way

Have you ever given a thought to what the tramcars run on? Help is required to keep the tramroad operational. Work varies from surveys and measurement through essential maintenance to major projects. Tasks vary from light through to energetic. No experience? No problem working with others training is available on the job. Working in the open air, you will need to bring suitable work wear and safety footwear.

Permanent Way

Working parties are planned for the following dates this summer:-

Saturdays 12 June and 24 July; Wednesdays 2, 30 June and 28 July. Interested then see the Volunteering section.

Tram Camp! Summer Working Week from 7 August to 15 August 2010. Come for a day or the whole week+. The most important event of the year is the Forties Weekend. Come and help prepare, help on the day or join a painting party! There's gardening work to do, railings to paint and lots more. Contact Lynda Wright for more information or to book a place.
