Derbyshire Heritage Awards

The Learning Department have won an award at the Derbyshire Heritage Awards, which are held annually to celebrate excellence in Derbyshire museums.

The Learning Department won the award for 'Working with Children and Young People' for work on the Renaissance East Midlands funded 'MuBu' project, 'Hear All About It'. The result is a series of audio guides that can be downloaded from the Museum's website and used by visitors.

The Museum also won the award for 'Best Exhibition' for the new George Stephenson Discovery Centre.

We would like to congratulate all of our colleagues in other museums on a fantastic range of innovative and inspiring ideas.
