We are on the search for volunteers to train as conductors on our fleet of vintage trams. The job involves conducting traditional British tram cars of varying types on a mile of running track and returning the tram back to the depot.
Conductors are responsible for the safe boarding, seating and alighting of passengers, the correct signalling to the driver, collecting fares and issuing tickets. Conductors are encouraged to chat to visitors and assist with setting points, turning trolley poles and handling signal line tokens.
Conductors are required to present a smart appearance and reasonably fit, aged between 16 and 75 years old, and be capable of stopping a tram in an emergency. No prior experience is needed and full training will be given.
