Crich Tramway Village won the Sandford Award for the second time this year and was notified back in July this year.

Our Learning and Participation Manager, Jan Barratt, went to Worcester Cathedral on Monday 21st November to receive the award.  Jan is pictured above receiving the award from Professor David Rae, Dean of Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln. (Photograph courtesy of Chris Vaughan Photography).

The Sandford Award is an independently judged, quality assured assessment of education programmes at heritage sites, museums, archives and collections across the British Isles.

Jan Barratt said:

“We are delighted to receive the Sandford Award for Heritage Education for the second time. We are really proud of our school learning programme and this award recognises the hard work of the Learning Team”.

Crich Tramway Village continues to welcome school groups for a range of learning programmes and a little fun along the way.
