Crich Tramway Village Awarded Bronze at the Enjoy England Excellence Awards
Crich was awarded Bronze for large attraction in the Excellence Awards 2008 held in Nottingham on the 8th of October. The museum fought of tough competition in the East Midlands to be shortlisted for the award.
Heritage Lottery Fund aproved for the Stone Workshop
The almost 170 year old building, a focal point of the Tramway Village Street scene, is now to become an exhibition and learning centre thanks to Lottery Funding.
Audience Development funding donates over £30,000 for museum development
Crich Tramway Village has been rewarded with various grants to improve and develop areas of the museum. Some of the funding is to be used to improve the signage around the Woodland Walk area. A proportion of the money will go towards the Rolls Royce Community Development project, which is to start early next year. The museum is also to take part in a pilot staff training programme over the winter.
